Who We Are

The Fairbanks Compost Collective is a group of like-minded individuals who want to support sustainable waste management practices and local compost production in Fairbanks, Alaska.  Jeff, Beth, Ellen, and Liz have all been collecting organics for compost for a while, but have joined forces to bring a unified and accessible collection service to Fairbanks. 

We currently offer  residential organic waste collection. Commercial collection will resume in the summer of 2026. We provide buckets for households to separate their compostable waste from their garbage. We stop by, collect your organic waste, leave a clean bucket, and head back to our site to make black gold!
